The Ark. (1)

“Riley, you need to learn to close this door before the three of us freeze to death.” I heard John say. I didn’t look up from my cards. We were in a large boat, designed by the US government, with the help of my Dad, Riley and my big brother John, to survive almost any natural disaster. They called it ‘The Ark’, ironically enough. The first night I was aboard The Ark, I forced John and Riley to watch “Evan almighty” with me, just because I found the concept hilarious at the time. We were sat in Riley’s tech den, which was close to the room that generated the air conditioning, so it got a little chilly a night. John always complained to Riley, but Riley never did close the door. We teased him for being cold blooded sometimes, because he didn’t seem to mind if the room’s temperature was below zero or not. The room was dark, lit only with the artificial light of the numerous computer screens mounted on the north wall. To the east, there was a high bench with a stool, piled with technical stuff like wires and microchips; Riley kind of stuff. In the middle was a metal rectangle table, covered in poker chips, cans of beer and a big bottle of diet brown pop. Riley was sat to my right. He’s shorter than me, around five foot six, and he liked to keep his stubble all year round. His face was small, with high cheekbones, and his brown hair was longer on top than it is on the sides. He called it his lucky university hair. It’s a long story. He claimed that he could never get a girl until the day his roommate shaved off his hair after Riley had fallen asleep reading “The Great Gatsby” at his desk. That night, he got laid. Well, he claims to of had. Nobody knows if it’s true or not. He was wearing his usual short sleeved t-shirt and jeans. In his hands was his poker hand.

”Raise,” I said, sliding a red chip into the middle of the table.
”Damn you, Vicky…. Fold” Riley said, putting his cards down. I looked a John, who was now back in his seat, to my left. Taking a swig of my drink, I watched John smirk and slide a red chip into the middle himself. I watched him carefully, smiling to myself, and revealed my cards.
”Jesus Christ, John, your little sister is destroying us. This is a disgrace for all men.” Riley said as I laughed lightly, taking my winnings from the middle of the table and adding them to my already huge pile.
”Stop being so whiney Riley. You lost because you tried to cheat.” I rolled my eyes at him.
”I’ll have you know that it was not my fault. John got up to close the door and I just happened to see that he had that queen” Riley said, nodding towards the direction of Johns cards that were laying on the table in front of him as he took a swig of his sixth beer can.
”Bullshit, Rile’s”
”No more drinking for you, John. You’re in ‘Aggressive swearing mode”” I laughed, getting up and taking the un-opened cans of beer to put them in Riley’s above average sized mini fridge.
”I think it’s safe to say you won tonight, V. and its waaaaay past your bed time,” John stood up, downed his beer. Slamming the empty can on the table, he held out his hand. “C’mon” I walked over to Riley, kissed his cheek and said goodnight.

John ended up slinging me over his shoulder. He liked to remind me that because he was my older brother, he was stronger than me and always would be. I laughed it off when he put me down outside my room and hugged him.
”Goodnight, V. Don’t let the sugar keep you awake tonight, you’ve got to be up early tomorrow to-“
”Yeah yeah, to learn how to read the stupid radars in case of emergency. Dad already reminded me half a billion times before lunch today.” ”Technically yesterday, V,” John showed me his watch and opened my door.
“Sleep” He said as he nudged me into my room. He kissed my forehead and closed the door, leaving me to get changed and go to bed. I pawed through my drawers and picked out my zebra pyjama’s. Zebra print bottoms and a pink top, with a cute little zebra on. I got changed quickly, tossing my dirty clothes in the hamper, before climbing into my bed and pulling out my diary. I grabbed the closest pen to me, as my bed side cabinet was covered in different pens, books and jewellery and started to scribble away.

Dear diary,
Today is Thursday 11th October, 2012. I woke up to the loud noise of the ships horn once again. They have so far tested it every morning this week. Somehow, I think it works. Dad wants me to learn some things over the next few months. He calls them ‘Emergency skills’ that I ‘should learn for my own benefit as well as the futures benefit’. Bullshit. He just doesn’t know what to do with me. Mum would know. She always knew.

John was training again this morning, so he was too busy to help me put up my bookshelf in my room. I bugged Riley into helping me instead. He was happy enough to help, because he got to use another one of his gadgets to make sure the damn thing was straight. It took a whole hour, but its up on the wall. It’s not exactly straight, but at least my books don’t fall off. As long as I keep a big stone on both ends, the books should stay.

Speaking of books, the library looks so much better now. Tyler was too busy sorting out the whole Shakespeare section today, so he, yet again, didn’t notice me. Though, I think it was a good thing he didn’t notice me today. I was helping Julie after lunch with dad by moving some of the new books and ended up tripping over and dropping them all on the floor. Worst thing was it was in front of the row of shelves Tyler was at. I don’t think he saw though, so I think I’m okay in the embarrassment department for now.

Ending up playing poker with John and Riley. I won of course. I always do. It’s pretty late, or pretty early. One am is a quiet time on the Ark. No big and burly army men prowling around the corridors making sure everything is okay, no maids bustling from room to room to keep things clean and tidy. Time to just lie down and listen to the soft wind whistle through the metal of the ship. Victoria reporting in for today. Goodnight.

Raindrops on roses.

Life can be like a raindrop. It starts at its highest point and works its way down, until it hits the cold, hard ground and stops abruptly, never to do anything more.
Life can also be like a river. It starts at the top of the mountain and the futher down the mountain it travels, the bigger it gets, until it flows into the vast oceans, surrounded by colour and vibrance.

Why can a raindrop suddenly change into a river?
Why can a river suddenly change into a raindrop?

Its the cycle of life.
-breaks out into Lion King song-

I was supposed to baby sit tonight, but apparently my niece and nephew would rather have their 'nanny' do it. Im so appreciated sometimes. Im still hung up on my dang birthday. I haven't even got any late birthday presents yet. And I doubt I will now either. C and K's idea for a late birthday present is persuading me and my mum to let Benjamin sleep over one night, where I will be fully in care of him for the whole day and night because we all know my mum will complain about aching and whatnot. And if that wasnt enough, they also want me to do the same with Dominic, who's a three year old, who apparently has ADHD? Yeah, okay Kelly, you believe that. He's just a three year old boy. They're supposed to be all "Oh, Imma touch this and see if it breaks" and "Imma go get food without asking, because Im hungry, and you'll probally say no if I ask" My sister, S, is doing my nails for me this afternoon. Fake gel ones, I think. Im not sure. Last time she did them, which was ages ago, I loved them, but they werent gel ones.

I actually got more birthday presents on my DS playing Animal Crossings than I did IRL. -Facepalm- Poncho even got me a birthday cake. Aren't I lucky? I send letters to everyone the day before asking for Jackson Rathbone, and attached a piece of fruit to each of them. Birthday comes along, everybody sent me a gift back, and no Jackson Rathbone. I did get shouted at for swearing in on of the letters though. It was like "You better get me F---ing Jackson Rathbone Biatch!" Lolz. Im so hardcore, shouting at animals on a computer game.

What I wouldnt do for just one whole week away from everything. Oh, I am! That trip to cornwall didnt go on, but now Becca and I should be going to Newcastle to visit some of her family, and then check a big cruise ship out. Its £50 to get down on the train/coach and back, and I just, as I was writing this post, had a slight discussion/argument with my mother that went something like this.

Vicky: "Its gone down to fifty quid now, Mum."
Mum: "Oh, How'd that happen?"
Vicky: -Shrugs- "Can we still go halfsy's?"
Mum: "Why? You were going to pay something like £60 anyways."
Vicky: "Can we just go halfsy's?"
Mum: "Fine, whatever."

Winner!! :P
Okay, its 11:15 right now, In the morning, which is pretty early for me to actually be dressed, even if it is in a shirt my mother bought. Trust me, dont let my mother buy you clothes, ever. Off for now to get a bit of foodsy's.

#RandomFact Ill probally eat a cheese and onion pasty, some chocolate and drink some coke. High on sugar!!

Handle with care.

I was a heavy heart to carry, my beloved was weighed down. My arms around his neck, my fingers laced a crown. I was a heavy heart to carry, but he never let me down, and when he held me in his arms, my feet never touched the ground. Im so heavy, heavy in your arms.

Why can the main character in books always tell how someone is feeling just by looking at their eyes or something. Ive tried doing that. I cannot do that! I guess maybe I dont take much notice of things like that though. Am I supposed to be able to do that? Maybe I can, but its natural, so I dont notice it. Or, Im just too caught up in my own little bubble sometimes that I dont notice. Right now, my bubble is foggy inside, like there's a dark cloud forming over my head. I dont know why, but I started to think about it when Becca Msn'd me last night asking if I was okay.

Rebecca: Are you okay?
Vicky: ...Yeah, why?
Rebecca: Becuase i just read your blog.
and that doesn't sound okay to me.
Vicky: Oooohh.. Oh, yeah, Im cool
Rebecca: ......
Vicky: Really, I am fine
Rebecca: ......
Vicky: Late night tv is crap (Baring in mind it was like, midnight)
Rebecca: Vicky.
Vicky: Im fine!
Rebecca: or..
Vicky: or?
Rebecca: Or you're sad and you're hiding it like you always do.
Vicky: Or, Im not okay, but I have no idea why im not okay... but Im fine, dont worry.
Rebecca: You know i'm here for you don't you?
If you ever need to talk to me just ring me.
even if you don't know why.
Vicky: I dont know why Im like this though. =/
Rebecca: well then you can bawl down the phone at me and then sit in silence.
I don't want to be all depressed on your own. Whats the point in having a best friend if you can't ring them up when you're sad?

And thats why my best friends are better than yours. Just saying -Smug look-

Becca just knows. She knows all, she see's all.

I really do always say Im fine. Even when im not. Its like, anyone can ask me "How are you today?" and my answer will always be "Im cool/okay/fine ... How 'bout you?" because I dont like talking about myself. Maybe. I dont know. Maybe I dont like talking about myself much because im surrounded by people (Mainly my mum and my sister-in-law) who are always talking about themselves. I know what it feels like to have to sit there listening to someone slag someone else off about such petty things. My mum will sit there complaining about my sister-in-law and then the convo will end up somewhere else, like how she's aching, and how she needs more fags or milk. My mothers like is a sad existance. I do blog rant about her too much, but thats the life of a teenage girl, right? Not getting along with the parents. My dad's fine though, I couldnt ask for a better dad. He was away for my birthday, but when he came back, he bought me some beautiful flowers and cooked me my dinner. I know its not much, but it was one of the best things I got for my birthday, even if it was a day late. He's not around often, because he's always working so we can pay the bills and stuff. He's 54 (I think =/) next month, and he's getting tired. My mum, however, hasnt worked for over 10 years because she has this fibremyalga or however its spelt. It just means the mustles ache all the time. She complains at me for getting a job, but the second I tell her she should get a job she just shouts at me and says that "I should know she cant work" and I always tell her that they could easily find her a job. What I find funny is that she says she "couldn't work at a till because of the buttons and her fingers" when she uses her aching fingers all day to play facebook games on the laptop.

Did I ever tell you that one time, my mother wouldnt let me write history coursework because she was too busy playing card games on the laptop? She was always telling me that I could do it later, because I had ages. I ended up doing it the night before. Maybe I should just give up trying with my mum. She yells at me for yelling at her (?) and I yell at her for yelling at me. Its like, are you actually serious? My mum is obviously depressed, and yeah I get that, because you kind of would be with such a sad excuse for a life that she has, especially when she complains about the phone ringing all the time because she knows its Kelly wanting to come over or something. Compared to my mum, I dont think Kelly is all that bad, if im honest. Yes, she's a bit of an idiot for getting a puppy when she has a baby, a 4 year old and an 8 year old, but its her choice in the end, right? Atleast Kelly cooks every day, walks to the shops, walks the kids to school, actually, you know, gets outside the house without climbing into a car.

Its my mum. Its not Kelly. Its not Sam. Its not Christopher. Well, to a degree, it is, but really, its my mum, isnt it? Maybe it really is. See, My brother, C, and my sister, S, have been in some slight argument for the past 8 or 9 years, or something like that. Its so much better now, because they actually talk to each other and dont end up shouting, but it used to be so bad, they were really petty. They always used to complain to my mum if one of them visited on the others "day" as if they had the right to come on one day and not the others. I dont know what its actually about, but I think it might be because of S and the whole 13-20 (?) disappearance act she kept doing. I dont want to talk about it here, because its really a personal family thing, but Ill tell you some things so you understand, I guess. S, at 13, met a guy, 19. Lets just say he wasnt a nice guy. S ran away alot, bunked off of school, and forced my mum to put her up for foster care and whatnot several times. Things got to my mum I guess, as it would, but I think C saw what S did to mum and hated her for it. And now he's told S what he thinks of her, and it caused a big bust up that little ole me, age 8-12, was stuck in the middle of, confused about who to side with, what to do and who to talk to.

I remember sitting in the living room once years ago, listening to C and K slagging off S and I just snapped. I started yelling at them to shut up and I think I begged them just to stop. I did end up crying, but no body hugged me. I felt like the bad guy trying to make it stop, when In all reality, I was just a kid who wanted everyone to kiss and make up. Younger me was bad with crying. I used to get myself worked up so much, If nobody calmed me down, Id start hyperventalating. I hated crying, and I still do. I get angry with myself when I cry, which makes me worse. But the problem is, My mum will still sit with S now, slagging off K. A few months ago, I was looking at S's Iphone and I checked her emails, because Im a rebel, obviously. I found some old ones that C had sent her during the short time where S, C and K were trying to sort things out by getting things out in the open. I started to read it, and had to go off because I didnt want S to see me reading them. But the first thing I noticed, was not the fact C was yelling about what S had done to mum, but his spelling and grammar. Its was terrible!! Trust me, right?

And Im going to go off on another Mum rant. My blog posts these days are all about the bad sides of my mum arent they? I will do a post about the good things sometime, but it may be short and it make take a while to sit and thing about them. She does not know how to treat me, I swear. She complains about almost everything I do. Its because she hasnt had a normal child. Lolz. My sister did... all that shizz, and my brother was a lazy git who never went to school. Okay, so he didnt go to school because he was bullied, and I guess he's sensitive, but so was I when I was 11-14 and getting bullied alot. He didnt go to his exams in the end, so he has no qualifications, and my sister was so smart and talented, but she wasted her oppurtunity. She didnt get any qualifications either. And here I am, decent-ish GCSE's and a place in Sixth form, doing A-levels, and my mums just... I dont even know! Its like, she keeps complaining about me not having a job, but she tried getting me to take an apprentiship, where I would get paid, but I would have to quit sixth form. The apprentiship was in retail, and yes, It would have meant I would have ended up stacking shelves, and then making other people stack my stores shelves. But, I dont want to do that, because thats what my mum did for years.

So, maybe my mum just doesnt know how to handle anything in life. She cant handle babies, toddlers, teenagers, adults, herself, a job, cooking meals everyday, cleaning, ironing atleast twice a week, quitting smoking to save her life. If she cant handle herself, how can she be trusted to handle me, too?

Are you strong enough to stand protecting both your heart and mine?

#RandomFact My new phrases are apparently "Oh my lordy pops" and "(Something) is the shizz-nizz"... Im just too cool for you ;)

Karma?

My sister sent me a text this morning that made me think. It said something along the lines of "Karma has seen you and the hard times are over" If only it was that easy, right?
Define Karma? -the effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation.
So, that makes no sense, right? I dunno....

Yesterday, my seventeenth birthday, wasnt bad, but it wasnt good either. Half the day was absolutly perfect. Becca, Lizzie and I went into town and went to Frankie and Bennie's for some good grub and then we went to watch "Killers", which isnt the worst film in the world, but the plot was kinda simple and boring. That part was awesome. Becca got me a nice birthday muffin, an Alice mug, the special edition Eclipse soundtrack that I didnt know anything about, and an Alice Cullen license to bite ID card. That definatly brought a few lolz. When I was left alone though, I just started to feel really down. I was close to crying, and I havent the foggiest why.

Maybe it was a combination of the problems I had yesterday. My dad wasnt here, the only family that bought me anything for my birthday was my mum and I didnt even blow out any candles. Isnt that one of the important parts of birthdays? Blowing out 17 candles, each on representing each year of your less than perfect life. And, sat here writing this, the phone keeps ringing. Its most likey Kelly asking if she and the kids can come over or something. No, you cannot, you didnt even get me a card.
Oh, and Becca went to a party where she was felt up by my ex-best friends boyfriend. That text brought the lolz. I dont even know if I should blog about that, but fxck it. Ah, the life of a teenage girl. Sat on the phone to semi-drunk friends before bed, and then staying up another half an hour to suck in helium from birthday balloons with my cousin and pee ourselves laughing.
Ill just smile and tell myself, and others, that everything it okay, hoping that it will make everything okay.
#RandomFact The thing I most hate is time differences. and wasps. They ruin everything.

Finally Seventeen

Im finally seventeen, but I feel like somethings missing. Somethings wrong, and I dont quite know what exactly. Ill tell myself just for today to leave it, but I will come back to it tomorrow, or maybe the next day. I know I shouldnt. Anyway, I guess, onto what Ive got so far today. Its only 8 in the morning, I woke up an hour ago to open my cards and presents. Call me spoilt, but Im not happy with what Ive got so far. Okay, so £40 in my cards is pretty amazing. It would have been £60 though. My mum decided to limit herself to £50 on me, Fair enough. But she went to a Matalan Clearance store to get me some clothes. For £20, she managed to pick a god awful skirt thats too big, and apparently its supposed to be that big. It makes me look like Mary Poppins on her way down on the umbrella. I do like the leggings she got me, however. I like me some leggings.

I have this one combat coloured hoody that I wear sometimes, so my mum was all "I know you like combat" and got me some combat coloured long shirt/dress thingy. Its okay, I guess. Not too sure about it. Will have to consult Becca. I have this grey top too, Its alright, but its all weird. Its flared at the side. Its okay, smile and appreciate what you've got, Vicky. Smile and make out like you love the things your mother got you, just like every other time you got a present you didnt particulary like. I hate having to smile and pretend to like something when I dont. Its horrible.

Anyways, Ive got stuff to look forward to! Like, the fact my dad isnt here. Oh, wait, thats not a good thing. :( Like... the fact my brother hasnt given me anything yet, and neither has my sister. Actually, no one except my Mum has given me anything, but Its early. I have to get my epic presents and card from Becca that will make me ROFLMAO when I meet up with her later. Becca, Lizzie and I are going to Frankie and Bennie's or where ever it is and then we're going to watch "Killers" at the cinema. As Becca said, "Killers is crappy enough to bitch about after, but has eye-candy" Fair enough, We already watched all the decent films at the cinema at the moment anyway.

Im looking forward to seeing what Becca has got me for my birthday. I know she has a funny card for me that will make me ROFLMAO (We were on the phone trying to pronounce that and it brought the lolz) and she hasnt got me the eclipse sountrack, which hasnt got an angry person on the front, apparently. What CD? I dont know what you're talking about.

To be honest, being seventeen isnt much different from being sixteen, except I know I have some really special friends in my life now. You know who you are, and you mean alot to me, always. Im off to eat my birthday breakfast. A cup of tea and some biscuits. Yay?

#RandomFact Ive got three birthday texts, 3 Tweets and 6 cards so far.

Two days!!

Two days until I say goodbye to being sixteen.

This picture was from a few weeks ago when my dad and I, along with Christopher, Kelly, Benjamin, Dominic and Natasha, went to Bradingstoke carnival or whatever it was. It was an alright day. My dad was such a rebel, he parked our green Peugout 306 next to all the vintage cars. Our car was parked next to a bunch of tractors and a Rolce Royce car or whatever it is. Im not good with cars, I had to google how to spell Peugout for goodness sake. Here's me being forced to pose next to a Tra'or.

My laptop, as you know, is completely dead. I think it deserves as much as a last mention. R.I.P Lappytop. We will miss you. Fujitsu Siemens. ;)

So, yesterday I was sat in the living room watching my niece and nephew's playing on the Xbox 360 when I turned to my right to look at my dad. He was sat in the arm chair next to the mantle peice, and I looked up to see the pink birthday card from my aunt Jackie that I had opened early anyway. But just behind it, was a little bit of white, so unsuspectingly I took the card and looked at it. My mum saw me looking at it and was all "I hid that from you for a reason" and I was like... "oh well" and looked at the stamp. Well, here's what I saw.

Pointing at the stamp and showing my dad, I asked "Does this mean its from Ireland?" and he nodded. Seconds later, I was crying in front of my family. I dont know why, I just burst into tears. Im over dramatic, according to Seann. But Oh my actual days. I opened the letter a little later on webcam to Louise, who had sent it to me. I, yet again, am sorry for crying hysterically on webcam, Louise. I may have opened my letter, which was from Louise and Seann, early but it must be the best thing I have ever got. Ever!

Gawd, I like, love my friends.

#RandomFact I have blog readers in Cornwall? Hello, Shout-out to you, my friend.

Four days!

Wednesday was a majorly awesome day. Now to sound like Becca... "That was the best day of my ACTUAL life." It was Rebeccaaarrrr's seventeenth birthday. I bought her a nice little card and decorated some balloons. I bought a banner, too. Then her main present was a basket of assorted cheese's. Yes, cheese. It may sound a bit odd, but I just know Becca too well. Crackers, Cheese and Dibdabs. After school, I drove all the way to the hospital to have my last of three injections for the cervical cancer thing and then I drove all the way to greenbridge. We had Pizza hut, which was amazing, and then we went across to the cinema to watch Toy Story 3D. It made me cry with the hand holding and the not saying anything and the best friend sobbing next to me. It was pretty funny too though. Would definatly tell you to go and watch it.

But now, It is friday and the summer holidays are here. My arm is aching so much and I think I had a fever last night because I was all weird and shakey for no reason. Injections are horrible. :(
Today, Becca and I are going out to the cinema again but this time we're watching Eclipse. My second time, but Im not complaining. Jasper and Alice scene's, I will still squeal at you. :')

#RandomFact Santa's handwriting looks alot like my dads. Just saying.

Six days!!!

My birthday in six days. Today is Becca's birthday, and she got a few looks when we were walking down the road with her balloons and such. She had a basket of cheese too, from moi. Yes, I know, I got her a load of different cheese's for her birthday. Does that sound strange? Yes. Did she love it? Hell yes! She loves her cheese. And her seafood. She hates the question: "Which do you like better, Cheese or Seafood?"

She will never be able to pick !!

Tonight, at 5:30, im having my third and final cervical cancer jab. And let me tell you, Im not good with needles. At. All. Pain and me do not go well together. Neither do balloons.

I was blowing a balloon up over and over again in my lesson this morning and my teacher told me to either put it down or choke on it and die. Charming.

After the injection, Im heading off to Pizza Hut for Becca's party. Becca, Tom P. and I are going to eat until we feel sick and then waddle on over to the cinema to watch Toy Story 3. We want Parker to cry. He had better cry, because Toy Story is meant to make grown men cry.

Well, Im off to get ready. Lets hope my injection doesnt make me feel sick. And most likely, it will make my arm ache for several days. Help me!!

#RandomFact I shower naked. Im such a rebel. ;)

Can't be bothered-ness

Do you ever get the whole can't be bothered-y feeling when you know your just about to finish something? Like, your reading the last book in your favourite series, but you just cant be bothered to read the last chapter properly, or when your writing your last essay for something, and you know you only have to cover a few more sub-headings but you just cant make yourself sit there and type it all out. Well, thats whats happening right now. I have my It Btec essay to do, and its due wednesday. Have I finished it? No. Do I want to finish it? Hell, yeah! But can I force myself to? Hell, Hell no.

Its just so boring. Its about crappy management information systems. Because our teachers genrally buggered us all up by not understanding how to run the course, we havent got time to faf about (is that how you spell faf? Jeesh, hard word much?) learning whatnot before writing about it. Oh no, we basically read a book, and writing it in essay form in our own words. Kids, dont take a new course, let some other idiots test the waters before you don your swimming cossies.

So, my mum's fine now. She doesnt have cancer, it was just a weird infection caused by the inhalor she was using to help quit smoking. Great. As if she need more excuses to not stop. Seriously, Im not going to even start. Ya know, about two years ago, all the way back to when I was in year 10, I ran away for a few hours in the dark. Reason? My mum wouldnt let me on the laptop. I know it sounds stupid, and hell yeahs it is, but Im a teenage girl, and I was 15 back then, obviously, and almost as hormonal as I am now. Im a human teenage girl, with hormones. Whatchya gunna do?

So anyway, the whole laptop aspect has always been a big issue since my mum bought one. for herself. That was my old laptop, back when it was hers, and when it actually worked. She bought it, but she didnt use it often, that is until my sister introduced her to facebook and free online computer games. Oh, the non-existant joy. Eventually, the laptop gave up. It was constantly overheating and turning itself off and whatnot. So, my mum bought a new laptop. Oh, the old one still worked, and she gave it to my sister to get my cousin, Martin, to fix it because he's all computer genious-y. A few months after mum got her new laptop, we finally got the old one back. It worked perfectly. Except the whole overheating problem melted the charger, so my mum went out and bought and new charger and hey! presto chango! (Lol, I used that the other day and thought it was pretty funny) I got a laptop!

Then, the new charger blew up. That was a month ago, maybe? So I used an old adapter, which worked fine until the laptop plastic disfigured around the charging hole. And thats why I have no laptop. Now, Im forced to share with my mum. Oh, and how fun that is! She places her metaphorically crowned cup of tea on the dining room table as if its a signal for me to give the laptop back. and then if that fails, she hovers. I swear she lives to agitate me. Excuse me, I may have gone insane, but her breathing annoys me. Yeah, I blame the hormones.

I must have gone insane though, if its not hormones. Last night, I just laid on my matress (Because I dont have a bed, lol) and my mums voice was all I heard in my head. Yeah, I must be mental. It was so annoying. It actually made me get really agitated, too. and then I dreamt about stabbing her. and that was too far, too too far. I woke up and slapped myself (Mentally ofcourse, not physically, I think im insane enough)

Its just like she lives to annoy me sometimes. I mean, I love her to bits when shes not all annoyingly depressed and complaining, but Im constantly on edge around her, waiting for her to say something. Its like she knows it too, that she goes out of her way just to make my life a living hell.

See, I know that I need a job, but my mum wont shut up about it. She always argues back too. I tell her I need to make a CV, but she says I dont need one, when I really do. She's all "You dont need a CV for a part-time Job" She hasnt worked for over ten years, as if she's knows! and then I tell her that its kinda hard to get a job in Swindon because of the whole recession thing. There just arent many jobs, and the jobs availiable are given to people who are older, more experienced and dont still attend school. She really believes that its just as easy to get a job now as it was when she was my age. Hello, Mum, that was in the 70's !! Get an actual clue.

Okay, so I guess I did start. =/

Okay, I think its safe to say that Ive just had a mother rant of all mother rants. I could go on, but Im not going to. Im going to go read that "How not to murder your mother" book. Okay, Im not really, Im going to make me some grub, because its 12;35, my mums still in bed and Id much rather be on Twitter and check emails. Anyway's, I just started reading the next House of Night book "Burned"

Now, Im really hungry, so, g'day.

oxoxoxoxoxoxo Hugs and sloppy kisses.

#RandomFact I was sat in the car, admiring my legs. I said something like "Becca wants my legs" and then my mum turns around and says "Youve got my legs" and then turns around. Somehow, I highly doubt that, mother. (If you knew my mum, you'd probally laugh at this.)

The Cullens: Carlisle

A life of difficult choices.

Born in the 1640's.

He followed his fathers footsteps and ended up losing everything.

Hiding from the outside world as his own world changed, he turned from a human to a bloodthirsty monster.
With the gift of compassion, he learned to live with the scent of temptation.

He travelled far from home to learn the things he knows now.

He saved many lives, but then came the time to save from certain death.

Doing as Elisabeth Masen had asked him to, he saved her son from dieing from Spanish Influenza.

He taught Elisabeth's son his way of life, only drinking the blood of an animal.

Wisconsin, 1921 came and with it, hope and love.

She had attempted to end her life after her child passed away, but he felt for her and changed her, too.

It didnt take long for them to fall in love, and marry.

Then slowly, his coven changed to a family.

With his family, he felt whole again.

She never knew

"Taking her hand, I looked back to see that my friend was not who I thought she was. I saw the truth, and this acquaintance had shown me that. and In showing me, she became my best friend"

She was confused for one of the first times of her life, But little did she know that the next six months would be full of this confusion. She didnt realise it then, but she was stood at a fork in the road. She could chose one way, or the other. She chose to go down the road she saw would best fit her changing attitudes towards the world, but now she's wondering where the other road would have lead to.

Would it have lead to pain and solitude?

Would it not matter which path was chosen then, that the outcome here was inevitable?

Would she be stuck like she used to be, the friend of an outsider and nothing more?

She shakes her head. Ofcourse not
Her choice was the right one. Wasnt it?

If only I could go back and see what the other path would lead me to. Maybe that would give me an insight into whether I gave up the right thing. By chosing to leave behind everything I knew for a change to grow as a person, did I chose right?

I really did do just that though, didnt I? I gave up everything I knew, left it behind me, and ran away.

She has run away, but from what? To what?

From the person she had always thought had saved her when she most needed rescuing to someone who had just appeared and offered her hand?
From the person who had slowly destroyed her hope of being liked by others to a person who might be able to give her a better chance of being a normal teenager?

She went to the person her heart seemed to trust more, even though the one she ran from was a bubble of hope she saw in the darkness no more than two years before. That bubble popped the second she took her new friends hand and the facade melted. Her old friend, as that is what she is now, was no longer the person who could always make her laugh. She was the horrible manipulative outsider everybody else saw her for.

But back then, she was young and naive. Only fourteen.

She never knew.

She did chose the right thing. She's always reminded that when her friend drags her out to watch a film or drags her into the town centre, something that she hadnt done often before. She chose the best thing and left the past behind her, where it belongs.

Just take the leap. Your heart knows what your doing, even if you dont.

Beyond broken.

The charger gave up this morning. Joy. Im blogging via my mothers laptop. It helps if I get on it before she wakes up, which is what I did. Im actually in panic mode right now. Well, the subtle kind of panic mode. I've seemed to have misplaced my keys, and with them my USB stick with all of my IT Btec work on. Problem is, I have one more assignment to do, due for wednesday, and all of it is on that USB stick.

So, Im just concentrating on tonight with Zoey and Eclipse. Although, in the back of my mind, Im worrying that I wont find the keys until next month. When I lost my headphones, I couldnt find them for months! and I need my USB more than the headphones. I always misplace things at the worst of times. I just hope its at school or something. And If it is, I hope my teacher, Mr Thomas, has it safe in his desk or something. I have screenshots of MSN convo's with Louise and Seann on that thing, among other pictures and blog templates and lots of work.

#RandomFact I fell off a swing a few weeks back, but it was the best thing ever. I had one hand on the phone i was passed and the other on the chain and I slipped to land on my feet. I felt like a ninja, just before the pain in my hand appeared. I now have this weird blood mark under one of my nails.

Broken

The pitter-patter of the rain on the windows and the humming of my failing charger dont help a lonely person. Nah, what am I kidding, Im not feeling lonely. Ive spent the day all cozy and in my bedroom. Some call it lazy, and heck yeah, it is lazy, but everyone needs one of these days every now and then. But, im afraid I have bad news. My laptop is only barely charging now. I cant move otherwise it stops. But its okay, Im sure I can wrap my brother into giving me his old laptop. Well, he isnt using it, and my birthday is soon, but who knows.

Ive been meaning to download some new songs to my phone for a while now, and I guess I did it today because 1) I may not be able to for a while with the whole charging perdicament and 2) I finally found my long lost headphones. I dont know how I coped without them. I found them in my pocket last week when Becca dragged me out to a school summer showcase to support a friend. Okay, I admit it was pretty good and I now have a new-found love of "A Chorus Line". I must put that on my imaginary to-do list; Watch "A Chorus Line" the movie.

Tomorrow, Im heading off to Shaw Ridge cinema and im going to watch The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Now, I have admitted this a few times, but I watched the first 84 mins (Out of 117 mins) online. Yeah, yeah, Im so illegal and shiz, but anyway, I kinda got bored. Maybe? I dont know, all I know is I will definatly watch the whole thing in the cinema tomorrow with my twi-buddy, Zoey. We became Twi-buddies way back when last July when we were both reading the books at the same time during our exams. Then we saw New Moon together last year, so we thought what the hey! We'll watch Eclipse together too. So thats what were doing tomorrow. Oh, and wouldnt it be freaky if her last name was RedBird? Mental note: Vicky, stop obsessing over books !!

You know I wont. ;)

#RandomFact My favourite animal is the Ring-Tailed Lemur. So cute !!! I feel in love with them in like 2005 when I went to Cotswold wildlife park. They were so furry and warm looking. I wanted one, and I do admit to planning an escape with one.

Lets get lost

When I was little, My dad and I had walked down to the pitchens once, a back road sorta place where a stream flows down the side of this big cottage and pathway. We bought two nets and pulled on some wellington boots. I climbed over the rails and jumped in the stream. Its not that deep, so no worries. I picked up a tyre, yeah a tyre, people in Wroughton liked to think they were tough back in the 90‘s, now they just are. So, under the tyre, I saw a mini-lobster. I was a kid,It was a crayfish, I had never seen one before. I ended up walking home with one wellie on, the other filled with water for the crayfish. I have no idea what happened to that crayfish. Maybe we took it back, but most likely not. Still, the matter still stands, I must have looked ridiculous walking home with one wellie on!

Last night, my Dad sat on my bed while I was reading “Hunted” so he could watch the world cup final between Holland and Spain. We we’re confused to why BBC1 had the netherlands Vs Spain and why BBC2 had the exact same game, but with Holland Vs Spain. Why did BBC2 have to be different? Then we had a discussion to which was closer to England, Spain or Holland. My bets were on spain, but that just proves that my geography sucks, because on the map we were looking at, right under where it England was written, Holland was there, bold and taunting. I’ll tell you now that I dont like football as a sport. Its the most boring thing and people get paid way too much to kick a ball back and forth, but the world cup game was really boring. Nobody scored in the whole game, so they had to use extra time. After the boring goal that won the game, I simply sat up, showed my dad a page of my book and declared that I was reading no more. I spotted a mistake. Dad said that people get paid for stuff like that, so maybe I should email the authors, but what would I write?

Dear P.C and Kristin Cast,

I was reading one of your House of Night books, “Hunted”, recently and realised an error. On page 194 Jack and Damien are talking to each other, shortly after Darius has left the room to take Heath to the surface. However, I noticed that it says that Darius speaks to Jack instead of Damien. Check it out, im not mistaken.

Darius, Stevie Rae and Heath leave Zoey, Jack, The Twins, Damien, Erik and Aphrodite on page 190-191. Shaunee and Erin, The Twins, leave to get their purses on page 193-194, after Erik tells Jack, Damien and the twins to get ready to go back to school. Then, because Jack is not going with them, he turns to Damien, his boyfriend and here comes the point where the mistake is.

“I want to go with you,” Jack said, looking close to tears.
“I want you to come, too,” Darius said. “But it’s too dangerous. You have to stay here with Erik and Stevie Rae until we know exactly what we’re up against”
“My mind understands that, but my heart says something else,” Jack said, leaning his head against Damien’s shoulder.

It should be Damien that says “I want you to come, too” instead of Darius. But, Enough ranting, I love your books !

Love from Victoria Telling.

The whole time while my Dad was watching the world cup, he kept flicking to and from the movie channel where Titanic was on. I kept telling him that he was so sappy for a man flicking from sport to titanic. It was like he was fighting with my mum over what they were going to watch on the television, but with himself. And everytime he flicked to Titanic, I kept laughing because I remembered the “lol jk” joke on facebook, and the HoN references to Leo and his floating off like a cute popsicle-ness.

“Ill never let go Jack. LOL JK, Get off my door.”

#RandomFact Ellie Goulding’s song “Guns and Horses” is one of my fave’s. Its about Ellie finding love over the internet. It can happen. E-harmony says so. 2% of marrages a year are from couples who met on E-harmony. #RandomFactNumber2

The Raven Mockers Song.

Ancient one sleeping, waiting to arise
When earths power bleeds sacred red
The mark strikes true: Queen Tsi Sgili will devise
He shall be washed from his entombing bed.

Through the hand of the dead he is free
Terrible beauty, monstrous sight
Ruled again they shall be
Women shall kneel to his dark might

Kalona's song sounds sweet
As we slaughter with cold heat

Drunk Vision Girl remembered all of that without hesitating. My memory would so not want to cooperate with me if I needed to remember something like that.

Okay, I need to stop obsessing with yet another Vampire (Well, Vampyre) book. Im reading the fifth book from the House of Night series. In total, right now anyway, there are seven books. The eighth one comes out in January. I do reccomend the series to anybody who has read twilight, because you might actually like it.

Oh my, I have a lesson to go to now. I havent packed my bag! Bah!

Legend and mythology

I came across a legend from the Cherokee people in a book I was reading the other day that I found interesting.

A long time ago there was an angel named Kalona, who had fallen from the skys down to earth into a tribe of Cherokee people. He made all the village bow down before him and his beauty.

The Cherokee people soon learned he did not belong there. He raped their women and become obsessed with bedding those he desired. He blamed the women for tempting him and made the men his slaves. The women who conceived Kalona's children bore half Ravem, half human immortals which were named the Raven Mockers.

A group of Ginghua women, who were wise women from different tribes, created a maiden made out of clay. They breathed life into her using the four elements, air, water, fire, and earth. Then the fastest Ginghua woman rubbed the maidens legs to make her fast, to run away from Kalona. They called her A-ya, which means "Me" In Cherokee, as to each Ginghua women A-ya was 'Me'. The wisest of them whispered instructions into A-ya's ear as they lead her to the lake where Kalona bathed every morning.

Kalona saw her and when he did, he knew he had to have her. She ran, and he chased after her. The Ginghua women had told A-ya to run into a cave, deep down into the earth because Kalona was a creature from the sky, and he could not escape the earth.

Kalona only had slight hesitation before following A-ya into the cave. When they were deep in the earth, A-ya stopped and threw her arms around him as she became clay again, and as the Ginghua women sealed the cave with a great boulder, trapping him there forever.

A-ya reminds me of Meg from the animated disney version of Hercules. She was made of clay, too, and I do love the classic animated disney films.

This song is one of my favourites at the moment.

"You're a Midas in reverse, you're the king of pain and hurt"

I remember learning about King Midas and his golden touch when I was in primary school. I think I might be having a greek mythology moment.

Many years ago there lived a king named Midas.

King Midas had one little daughter, whose name was Marigold.

King Midas was very, very rich. It was said that he had more gold than any other king in the world.

One room of his great castle was almost filled with yellow gold pieces.

At last the King grew so fond of his gold that he loved it better than anything else in all the world.

He even loved it better than his own little daughter, dear little rosy-cheeked Marigold. His one great wish seemed to be for more and more gold.

One day while he was in his gold room counting his money, a beautiful fairy boy stood before him.

The boy's face shone with a wonderful light, and he had wings on his cap and wings on his feet. In his hand he carried a strange-looking wand, and the wand also had wings.

"Midas, you are the richest man in the world," said the fairy. "There is no King who has so much gold as you."

"That may be," said the King. "As you see, I have this room full of gold, but I should like much more; for gold is the best and the most wonderful thing in the world."

"Are you sure?" asked the fairy.

"I am very sure," answered the King.

"If I should grant you one wish," said the fairy, "would you ask for more gold?"

"If I could have but one wish," said the King, "I would ask that everything I touch should turn to beautiful yellow gold."

"Your wish shall be granted," said the fairy. "At sunrise to-morrow morning your slightest touch will turn everything into gold. But I warn you that your gift will not make you happy."

"I will take the risk," said the King.

The next day King Midas awoke very early. He was eager to see if the fairy's promise had come true.

As soon as the sun arose he tried the gift by touching the bed lightly with his hand.

The bed turned to gold.

He touched the chair and table.

Upon the instant they were turned to solid gold.

The King was wild with joy.

He ran around the room, touching everything he could see. His magic gift turned all to shining, yellow gold.

The King soon felt hungry and went down to eat his breakfast. Now a strange thing happened. When he raised a glass of clear cold water to drink, it became solid gold.

Not a drop of water could pass his lips.

The bread turned to gold under his fingers.

The meat was hard, and yellow, and shiny.

Not a thing could he get to eat.

All was gold, gold, gold.

His little daughter came running in from the garden.

Of all living creatures she was the dearest to him.

He touched her with his lips.

At once the little girl was changed to a golden statue.

A great fear crept into the King's heart, sweeping all the joy out of his life.

In his grief he called and called upon the fairy who had given him the gift of the golden touch.

"O fairy," he begged, "take away this horrible golden gift! Take all my lands. Take all my gold. Take everything, only give me back my little daughter."

In a moment the beautiful fairy was standing before him.

"Do you still think that gold is the greatest thing in the world?" asked the fairy.

"No! no!" cried the King. "I hate the very sight of the yellow stuff."

"Are you sure that you no longer wish the golden touch?" asked the fairy.

"I have learned my lesson," said the King. "I no longer think gold the greatest thing in the world."

"Very well," said the fairy, "take this pitcher to the spring in the garden and fill it with water. Then sprinkle those things which you have touched and turned to gold."

The King took the pitcher and rushed to the spring. Running back he first sprinkled the head of his dear little girl. Instantly she became his own darling Marigold again, and gave him a kiss.

The King sprinkled the golden food, and to his great joy it turned back to real bread and real butter.

Then he and his little daughter sat down to breakfast. How good the cold water tasted! How eagerly the hungry King ate the bread and butter, the meat, and all the good food!

The King hated his golden touch so much that he sprinkled even the chairs and the tables and everything else that the fairy's gift had turned to gold.

Dreams and allusions Part 2

If you havent read part 1 of the Dreams and Allusions posts, scroll down. :)

Continued from my last post, My weird and wonderful dream from last night.

Vicky POV (Woooop!)

Bahahaha, this dream is so cool. Weird, but cool. I bet this is confusing you. Maybe? Well, ill make it easier for you. My dad is apparently the leader of this big company thing and they are trying to save people by bringing them to this safe base in alaska. My brother, John, is helping. I dont really have a brother called John, but apparently in my dreams I do. Go figure. So, theres some massive underground base under the main base above ground. Its like this diagram, but not.

Without the city above it and it doesnt look like a bee hive. Its just a massive bunch of tunnels with big rooms and stuff. Big cafeteria, swimming pools, stables, sports halls, loads and loads of supply rooms and most likely thousands of bedrooms. Im guessing this place was built years and years in advance, so they must have known what the umbrella corperation were doing. Hey, if it doesnt make sense, I have my argument down, Its my dream. So anyway, Proir to yesterday I begged my dad into saving certain people, and some of them are arriving soon.

“When will they be here?” I stare up impatiently at John.
“Go bug Riley if you wanna know so badly” I stomped off to Riley’s tent and flicked his ear.
“Hey, what was that for?” He complained as he turned his chair to look up at me.
“For your attention. It’s short, like you.” I giggled when he shook his head.
“When’s the G-17 going to get here?” I asked as Riley went back to one of his many computer monitors.
“Why should I tell you? You’ll flick my ear again when you want something”
“because you love me and you know you want to tell me.” I giggled as I kissed his cheek.
“Fine” he muttered as he checked the tracker. I looked at the screen and saw that it showed the chopped close to the base so I ran out before Riley could tell me.
“You’re welcome” I heard Riley call at me when I was out the tent and running towards John. The first chopper landed and I ran straight up to Seann to hug her. She was really confused, as was everyone. She had no idea why she was here, and she had bought her closest friends and family.
“Vicky, Dad needs to speak to you.” John said. I rolled my eyes and nodded.
“Seann, Ill tell you what I can later. Room six at half six tonight.” I whispered and then went to hug Claire. Claire was taller than I had expected and we had a quick giggle before I ran off. “You wanted to talk, dad?” I said, entering the tent.
“You have to see Stark later for training. Im just reminding you.”
“Oh, okay” I said, smiling. Dad handed me an earpeice, so I put it in and turned it on.

Loads of people were talking to me and asking me to do things all day through the earpiece. I could have taken it out and thrown it in a bucket of water. Thats the problem when your dad and brother were both in such high positions of a company, people expect you to follow their footsteps. I must have ended up fixing a few computers, which werent even broken to start with, and fileing loads of boring reports. I headed into Rileys tent to give him the earpiece. Id had enough.
“Deactivate this for me, Rile’s.” I smiled at him.
“Sure” he said, taking it from me and tampering with it for a few minutes. When he was finished, he gave it back and I put it in my pocket.
“Thanks. Whens the next arrival?”
“There’s actually three choppers coming in now.”
“Three!? Riley, Why didnt you tell me sooner?” I hit him and he frowned.
“Hey, Your brother just took the clipboards before you got here. Run along Miss moodswing.”
“Im not having moodswings” I laughed as I ran outside to look for John. When I caught up with him I walked at his slow pace towards the landing pads.
“Has the zombie thing even happened yet?” I asked, looking up at him. He patted my shoulder.
“Soon.” He nodded. I ran off somewhere and got some drinks and put them in my satchel before running back to John. I watched as the choppers came in for landing one by one and then people started to get off. I giggled excited and looked away so I couldnt see anybody.

“Settle down, Please.” John said in his authority voice. “You have all been bought here because you all have one thing in common. Thanks to that similarity, you have more change of surviving the oncoming storm that will devistate this planet.” He paused to let people whisper to each other and then carried on, all the while, I had my face behind a clipboard I had taken from him. “No need to worry now, but all will be explained when the time comes.” He looked down at me. Awr damn, I thought to myself. He wanted me to continue. I lowered the clipboard trying not to grin and cleared my throat.
“Basically, This is your life until things get sorted. Under your feet, about 20 feet approximantly, is a complex network of tunnels. There you will be safe from any threats that will inevitably happen in the following month’s.” I looked up at John, giggling quietly at how weird it was saying that, and he continued with something I wasnt expecting, because he had never said anything bar the usual.
“The thing that each family has in common is her” He pointed at me. I hid behind the clipboard again. Well, until he took it from me that is. I heard a few people muttering, but since this whole thing is a dream, I waved and looked down the line.
“Tanja, Inger, Malene, Bayan, Summer, Christina. Oh and Louise! Hey!” I grinned. I took out a carton of Club Orange from my satchel and ran over to Louise. I hugged her and gave her the carton before running back to John.

“How do you know my daughter? And how did you know she likes that drink so much?” Louises mum started. Loads of other parents who were muttering things spoke up too, having a go at me for knowing their children. I stopped smiling and looked at everyone yelling at me. John tried to calm them down but I ran off. I ran into Kellan, actually. I had made friends with a lot of people and Kellan was one of them. He picked me up and took me back over. Putting me down next to John, Everyone went quiet.
“Kellan, youre a big meanie” I said. He chuckled and ruffled my hair up.
“Everything okay, John?” He asked. John nodded.
“See ya later, then.” Kellan kissed my hair and walked off. I grinned and turned back to everyone.
“Kellan’s cool” I giggled.
“Its not her fault she knows us, Mum” Louise said. “We’ve all talked to her online, and before you say anything, I know but I dont care.”
“Shes crazy, but shes cool.” Someone else said.
“Im a lot like Alice” I said giggling. Then I remembered.
“Oh yeah, Ashley !!” I said, and then covered my mouth. “Nevermind” I had to give her a key to her wardrobe. I kind of stole it before she arrived. Whoopsy’s?
“Okay, we need to get you inside now” John said just as dark clouds started to form above us. As everyone headed over to the elevator, I grabbed Louise and whispered in her ear.
“Room six at half six.” She nodded and then went on. I had to give the ear peice back to dad so I rushed to his tent before it started to pour down.

“Its almost six o’clock, Victoria.” My dad said as I handed him the deactivated earpeice. (He would be none the wiser, so it was fine)
“Yup, I know” I said.
“You have training at six until seven, you better not be late.” He raised his eyebrow at me.
“Six ‘til seven?” I said. Damn, I was meeting Seann and Louise at half past six. Great.
“Yes. Now, you better get down there, Stark doenst like it when your late.”
“He doesnt like it when Im early either” I muttered under my breathe as I grabbed an umbrella and ran outside. Getting into the elevator, I found riley rewiring the monitor on the side. As we were going down, he was wrapping red wires and blue wires around the box in which the monitor sits in. I put my hand in my pocket and took out the key.
“Riley, can you do me a favour please?”
“Another one? Fine, sure. What is it?” He said as he picked up his screwdriver.
“This key needs to go to Ashley Greene in room 68,” I said as I slid the key into his front jeans pocket. “Promise me you will give it to her”
“Promise” He nodded. When the elevator stopped, I ran out and went to my room to get changed. I picked up a bottle of water and ran down three long corridors to the gym where Stark was waiting. I ran in, looked at the clock and poked my tounge out at him. Six on the dot. Stark chuckled.
“Afternoon, Mr Stark” I joked, skipping up to him and kissing his cheek. I went and picked up the training staff and we started to fight. This is the part where I started to wake up from my dream. I was fighting some robots with swords (Yeah, I know, weird) and then I looked up at the observation balcony where Seann and Louise were watching me. I had to concentrate on beating the robots up like the bad a$$ I was in my dream because it was mentioned that they were on kill mode. Yeah, I have no idea. And this, my lovely, is where I woke up. The end.

Well, wasnt that long? Lots of text allusion in this. So, did anyone notice any of my influences in this dream? An army man called John = Dear John, not that Ive ever read the book or seen the film. Stark is from House of Night. Riley the tech guy is from National treasure, and Im in love with him.

The whole Zombie thing, Umbrella corp, safe base is alaska is from Resident Evil Extinction, the third RE film. They are the best horror films ever, and there is a new one coming out soon, so all good. The characters mentioned, if they arent from films or movies, are my friends online. Dont ask why i didnt dream about my other friends, although I did dream a part where Seann and Louise wanted to know what was going on, so at dinner in the cafeteria, they called Rebecca over and they had a nice long chat.

Longest blog posts ever? I think so. Love you xxxx

Dreams and allusions Part 1

My dreams seem to be getting strange. Scientifically proven, its not the cheese, not that ive been eating cheese before I go to bed lately anyway. Last nights dream had a lot of people in, so I thought Id share it in story form, because it was really long and detailed, which is kind of unusual for my dreams as they are usually blurs and colours and people running around and whatnot. From what I understand, all of the people to be mentioned are in some massive safe base in Alaska. This is because it was in Resident Evil: Extinction. I know, I need to stop watching horror films. Im guessing that there is this secret organisastion that has built this safe base so that people can be protected and saved from the imminent danger. It was weird because In my dream at first, I was the army guy. Then I was me again. I know its strange, but I cant help what I dream about. So, without futher ado, my dream.

John Pov

“Riley, Which Clipboard?” I watched Riley type frantically onto his keyboard. He was the groups tech guy, he knew everything about computers and nerdy stuff like that. He wasnt too bad. He’s my best friend and after hours, we always get a couple of beers in and play poker or darts or whatever.
“Just a second” He muttered while spinning around on his chair doing something else.
“Riley? Another chopper just landed, I need to know what rooms people have been assigned to. Which clipboard?”
“Urr...Seven”
“Are you sure?” I said, picking up the clipboard labeled seven.
“Yup. Hey, John, do you know how to reprogramme a turret in less than a minute?” He swiveled on his chair and looked at me. I laughed.
“Are you joking? I can do 100 press-ups in three minutes, but thats about it. Now stop showing off” We both laughed as Riley swivled back to his computer screen and started doing whatever he does. I walked out of tent 3A and into the dry weather, heading for one of the many landing pads by the fence. The fence surrounded the whole base, and there were towers stationed along them every 50 feet or so where gunners and watchmen took their shifts eating sandwiches and watching the surrounding environment. There was no need for them to be there at the moment but it was better to be safe than sorry, as Dad would say. I walked up to the line of confused people and took my position in front, standing straight with my hands behind my back, still holding the clipboard. I took a look at a few of the civilians and knew who they were. I nodded at Claire Redfield, who was the one who gathered up these civilians. She nodded back and gave me her best flirty smile.
“Now is not the time for explainations. You have been bought here for a reason. You will be safe here. All questions will be answered when the time is right, please follow me to your accomadation.” I followed the regular procedure and when everyone was where they were supposed to be, I went to tent 1A to report back.

“Claire’s group has arrived and they have been dealt with, Sir”
“Good job, son” He nodded. “At ease, Soldier. Todays targets complete?”
“VIP’s to arrive shorty, Sir.”
“Okay, thats good. How’s your sister?”
“She’s somewhere, Dad.” I said. Then my dad and I shared one of those smiles. He chuckled.
“She knows who’s coming today, so keep her controlled.”
“Ill try my best, sir.” I saluted and chuckled with him. He sat back at his desk in the middle of the tent and looked up at me.
“Dismissed, Soldier.” I nodded and walked out of the tent. A few steps out, I bumped into Claire. She giggled.
“Long time, no see” She said, flicking her short blonde hair.
“Nice to see you still alive, Claire”
“Just a few grazes. The umbrella corp are getting better at aiming. Lets hope they know less that what we think they do.” We both shared a moment and then we walked in opposite directions. Claires always had a thing for me, as have a few other girls, but I dont see why. I decided to go look for my little sister. Knowing whereabouts she would be, I went into Riley’s tent again and put clipboard seven back.
“VIP clipboard, Riley?” I asked. Riley turned to me, scribbling on a piece of paper and then, attaching it to a clipboard, he threw it to me.
“I completely forgot to do it earlier, Sorry dude.” He said. I chuckled as I grabbed it.
“Its fine.” I turned and then looked back at him “Hey, what reminded you?”
“Your sister stopped by”
“Figures” I laughed and walked out, back to the chopper pads, to wait for the next arrival.

I saw here hiding behind a crate. I walked up behind her and tried my hardest not to laugh.
“Vicky, What are you doing?” She jumped
“Oh my god, John, dont do that to me” She said as she hit my arm. I messed up her hair and she pulled a face. Fixing her hair she took my hat and put it on her head. I chuckled.
“Dont avoid the question”
“Nothing, honest. I was just sitting in the shade.”
“and watching out for the next chopper?”
“Ofcourse” She grinned.
“Dont freak them out”
“I wont. Hey, can I stand next to you and look all official and cool?” She giggled.
“Well, your wearing the hat and the trousers. Im sure you’ll look the part.”
“Yay!” she bounced up and down. I handed her the clipboard.
“You can hold this.” She looked down at it.
“This is the better half of the VIP’s isnt it?” she grinned up at me. I shrugged.
“I have no idea, Is it?”
“Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Andrea Kelley, Caitie Uhlmann, Huge Grant, Russell Brand, and all their close friends and family, as well as loads of others to come tomorrow. Who picked these people? They are really random”
“Its your dream, you numpty” I laughed.
“True” she laughed

When the day was over, I went underground via the elevator. I walked through the tunnels and walked to my room. I had a quick shower before rooting through my fridge for some beer. Grabbing it, I went back up to the surface and went over to Riley’s tent. The sun was begining to set in the distance and Vicky was where she usually was this time of day, laying on a blanket near the fence and watching the sun go down. I walked into the tent and threw a beer at Riley.
“So, choice tonight?” I asked.
“Poker is boring me now, how about darts?”
“Just dont drink too much like last time, I dont think Vicky will be happy if she has to sew your tent up again.” I laughed. After a few drinks and a few rounds of darts, me winning like usual, we both decided to head back for the night.
“Its your turn to take her back, Riley” I said, nudging him.
“She’s your sister!”
“Its your turn”
“Fine” He sighed and ran off to get her. I waited by the Elevator for him to come back and it didnt take long for him to come back with Vicky sleeping in his arms. We went down into the tunnels and followed the usual route to our rooms. We stopped at room six to drop Vicky off and then splitting up, Riley and I went back to our rooms. I got into bed and set my alarm for six am before sliding into the cold bed and falling asleep.

Distance

Broken people get recycled and I hope that I will. Sometimes we're thrown off our pathways. What I thought was my way home wasn't the place I know. No, I'm not afraid of changing. Certain? Nothing's certain. What we own becomes our prison. My possessions will be gone back to where they came from.

Blame?
No one is to blame.
As natural as the rain that falls,
here comes the flood again.

See the rock that you hold onto?
Is it gonna save you when the earth begins to crumble?
Why'd you feel you have to hold on?
Imagine if you let go

Flush away the weight that pulls you down.
Light the ways that free from the dust.

Don't trust your eyes, it's easy to believe them.
Know in your heart that you can leave your prison.

Don't trust your mind, its not always listening.
Turn on the lights and feel the ancient rhythm.

Blame?
No one is to blame.
As natural as the rain that falls,
here comes the flood again.

Distance. It can be good and bad. Sometimes, distance fixes things that were only slighty broken, and other times, distance can make things worse. Having the whole week away from my parents seemed to help things. For now. Lets hope things will be okay. I was at Becca's and we had a pretty good week, even if we were both slightly accident prone. On the wednesday, I persuaded Becca to have a laugh and go onto ChatRoulette. We did. We saw plenty of crotch's (Unfortunatly not JActions, -sigh-) and we both fell in love with two different guys before we spoke to Chris Brown. Dont believe us? The first picture is Chris Brown and the second is the guy I fell in love with. Yes, I know, Im weird, but tell me you dont look at it and sigh.

Okay, I admit that part of the reason I like him is because he looks slightly like Robert Pattinson. Noh? Well, I thought so. But he was a genuinely nice guy and he was funny, too. Its a real shame I dont know his name and that he lives in Philidelpia or however its spelt. And he works for a package company where he delivers parcels and stuff. Im not a stalker, honest! Ill never see him again :( Oh, and did I mention Chris Brown asked me and Becca to get our boobs out. Yeah ! He's a slimeball, so we said goodbye and pressed the next button. We're so bad a$$ like that.

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing
That's a fact,
It's a thing we can't deny
Like the fact that I will love you till I die.

We are twelve billion light years from the edge,
That's a guess,
No-one can ever say it's true
But I know that I will always be with you.

I'm warmed by the fire of your love everyday
So don't call me a liar,
Just believe everything that I say

There are six billion people in the world
More or less
and it makes me feel quite small
But you're the one I love the most of all
